App Partner Program

We build your app.
You share the upside.

F5 Dev will design and develop a fully native iOS and Android application at no upfront cost — in exchange for F5 publishing and managing your app on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and a share of ongoing revenue.

Submitting an application is not a guarantee of acceptance. Every submission is individually reviewed by our team. We take on a limited number of partner projects each quarter, and acceptance depends on concept viability, market opportunity, documentation quality, and team capacity. You will be contacted with a decision within 10 business days of submitting a complete application.

The process

How it works

From idea to live app — here's what the partnership looks like end-to-end.

Submit your application

Complete the detailed application form below. Describe your concept, your target audience, your monetisation model, and what makes this app worth building.

Review & selection

Our team evaluates every submission for market viability, technical feasibility, and revenue potential. Shortlisted applicants are invited to a discovery call.

Partnership agreement

We formalise the revenue-share terms, distribution agreement, and project scope. You retain ownership of your brand and business; F5 handles all development.

Design & build

Our engineers and designers build your app for both iOS and Android. You're involved at every milestone — this is your product, built by us.

Launch on Apple & Google Play

Your app launches on the Apple App Store and Google Play, published under F5. F5 handles all store submissions, certification, and ongoing infrastructure management.

Grow together

Revenue is split per the agreed terms. F5 provides ongoing maintenance, updates, and platform support — your job is to grow the user base.

Qualifying criteria

What we look for in an application

Because we're investing significant engineering time at our own risk, we're selective. Applications that score well across all of the following have the best chance of being accepted.

  • Clear problem & audience — who is this for, and what problem does it solve?
  • Credible monetisation — a realistic model for generating revenue (subscriptions, in-app purchases, transactional, advertising, etc.)
  • Market validation — evidence of demand: user research, waitlist, comparable apps, or industry data
  • Detailed documentation — feature lists, user flows, wireframes, or written specs submitted with the application
  • Applicant involvement — you or your team must be willing and able to actively participate throughout the build
  • Compliance — the concept must be lawful and meet Apple App Store and Google Play content policies
Questions

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Accepted partners pay nothing for design or development. F5 Dev absorbs the full cost of building your app in exchange for the revenue-share and distribution agreement. There are no hidden fees, no milestone payments, and no licensing costs. The only requirement is that F5 publishes and manages your app on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Revenue-share percentages are negotiated individually based on the complexity of the project, anticipated development cost, and projected revenue. Terms are agreed and signed before any development work begins, so there are no surprises. Typical arrangements are discussed during the discovery call.
You own your brand, business, and the concept. F5 owns the codebase and infrastructure it builds, but you retain full rights to the product and business that runs on top of it. The exact IP arrangements — including what happens if the partnership ends — are clearly set out in the partnership agreement.
Yes. F5 publishing and managing your app on the Apple App Store and Google Play is a core requirement of the programme. This is how F5 ensures it can service and maintain the infrastructure it builds, and it's a condition of the zero-cost development offer. Apps published independently — outside of F5's store accounts — would not qualify for this programme.
Timelines depend heavily on scope. A focused consumer app typically takes 3–5 months from kickoff to App Store launch. More complex platforms with backend services, third-party integrations, or custom data pipelines may take longer. Estimated timelines are agreed during scoping, before the partnership is formalised.
We'll let you know by email within 10 business days. If your application is close but needs more information or a stronger business case, we'll say so and you're welcome to reapply. If you'd still like your app built outside of the partner programme, our standard mobile development service is always available — get in touch to discuss.
Not at all. We work with founders, entrepreneurs, and subject-matter experts who have a strong idea and a deep understanding of their market — but no technical skills. What matters most is that you can clearly articulate the problem you're solving, the user you're targeting, and how the app makes money.
Apply

Submit your application

Take your time with this form — the quality and detail of your submission is a significant factor in the review process. Incomplete or vague applications are unlikely to be accepted.

Your contact details

Who should we contact about this application?

About the app

Tell us about the product you want to build.

Be specific. "People want to be healthier" is not a problem statement. "Personal trainers spend 2–3 hours a day on manual client check-ins that could be automated" is.

The more detail here, the better. Bullet points are fine.

Revenue & market

F5 invests in apps with credible paths to revenue. Help us understand yours.

Documentation & scope

Detailed documentation is a requirement for acceptance. Vague submissions will not proceed.

Applications without supporting documentation are very unlikely to be accepted. It does not need to be polished — even rough wireframes and a written spec carry significant weight.

Fields marked * are required.

Need the app built now — on your terms?

The App Partner Programme isn't for everyone. If you need full ownership, faster turnaround, or simply don't want a revenue-share arrangement, our standard mobile development service is the right fit.
